Iker Casillas stated in an interview that Mourinho has changed compared to his first spell coaching Real Madrid, according to Goal.

Casillas was a key player during Mourinho's first stint at Real Madrid (2010-2013), and together they won the Copa del Rey and La Liga titles. However, disagreements between them led to Casillas being excluded from the squad in the 2012-2013 season, a period when Mourinho's relationship with the club's management was also deteriorating.
In his Netflix documentary, Mourinho suggested that Casillas had become "willful" and opposed players maintaining close relationships with Barcelona players during the two teams' title race.
Casillas once told French newspaper L'Équipe, "The marriage with Mourinho ended badly."
Before Mourinho's return, Casillas stated on social media that he did not question Mourinho's professionalism, "but I don't want him to return to Real Madrid." The 2010 World Cup-winning goalkeeper was also reportedly set to take on a management role alongside former presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme, who opposed Mourinho's return.
A sudden change of attitude
However, Casillas has recently expressed a more positive view of Mourinho. Speaking on former Atlético Madrid assistant coach Germán Burgos' social media channel, Casillas said the Mourinho he sees now is "different" from the one who last coached Real Madrid.
"Jose is different," Casillas said. "He still has the look of a successful coach with talent and everything else, but he's returned with different ideas."
The goalkeeper did not dwell on the past, only stating: "I still laugh when I think about it; I remember many things."
