Former Premier League champion Danny Drinkwater appeared on the "Truth or Paddle" show, playing a game of padel tennis and answering several questions about his career with renowned journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic.

When asked if he regretted joining Chelsea, Drinkwater said: "I don't regret the transfer itself; I just look back and regret how things ultimately played out. I couldn't have turned down that opportunity."

Drinkwater previously played for Leicester City and won the Premier League title with the club. Discussing Leicester's decision to sack Ranieri, he said that from the perspective of that moment, the club's decision was "100% wrong." However, given what happened afterwards, when Shakespeare took over and achieved good results, the outcome seemed somewhat vindicated. He also mentioned that he was very sad at that time and referred to that period as "magical days."

During the show, Drinkwater also spoke about his experience negotiating a contract with Ferguson when he was younger. He felt the contract terms were unfair, and Ferguson directly rejected his request. Drinkwater revealed that he raised the issue again later, but ultimately did not achieve the desired outcome.

When asked if he had ever cried because of football, Drinkwater replied: "I've cried many times because of football." Regarding public perception that he values money over football, Drinkwater responded: "You completely misunderstand the situation."
