Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford narrowly avoided a multi-car collision while driving before being pursued by police, according to The Sun.

The 32-year-old England international forced two drivers to brake sharply to prevent an accident before speeding off, with a police car following with its lights flashing.
The incident occurred around 3 PM on April 14 in Knutsford, Cheshire, near Pickford's home. At the time, Pickford was driving a £165,000 Lamborghini Urus; five days later, he played in the Merseyside derby.
The April 14 incident took place three days after Pickford played for Everton in a 2-2 draw away against Brentford, and five days before Everton's 2-1 Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool.
Cheshire Police officer Cecil Ricardo spotted the blue SUV, with Pickford's name on the license plate, as he drove out of Knutsford Police Station.
Ricardo wrote in a witness statement: "I then saw a blue Lamborghini Urus travelling along Princess Street. As it approached the junction with Toft Road, it completely ignored the give way line and proceeded directly onto Toft Road, causing two vehicles to brake sharply to avoid a collision.
"The Lamborghini then accelerated away along Toft Road in Knutsford. I activated my blue lights and siren, attempting to catch up with the vehicle. At one point on Toft Road, the speedometer in my vehicle read 50 mph, yet the Lamborghini was still pulling away. The speed limit on that stretch of Toft Road is 30 mph."
Ricardo stated that the driver "must have seen and heard" the siren before finally pulling over after a brief chase. He added: "I approached the driver's side, and the driver identified himself as Jordan Pickford. I informed Pickford that he was being reported for driving without due care and attention, and issued him with a traffic offense report. He made no comment."
Cheshire Police charged Pickford on September 23 via a Single Justice Procedure. This procedure allows a magistrate to handle minor traffic cases in writing, behind closed doors.
Pickford pleaded guilty online last Friday and ticked the option requesting a court appearance, apparently hoping to avoid a driving ban. In his submission, he wrote: "I wish to attend court to offer mitigation."
Warrington Magistrates' Court has not yet set a hearing date. Careless driving can result in 3 to 9 penalty points or a driving ban. Drivers who plead guilty but still request a court appearance typically do so to argue against a license disqualification.
The Lamborghini Urus can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph.
Pickford transferred to Everton from his boyhood club Sunderland in 2017 for £25 million. He signed a new four-year contract last October, keeping him at Everton until 2029.
Since the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Pickford has been England's number one goalkeeper, making 91 appearances for his country.
Pickford lives near Knutsford with his wife Megan, his childhood sweetheart from Washington, Tyne and Wear, whom he has known since school. They have three children: a seven-year-old son and two daughters, aged two and one.
