According to Mundo Deportivo, 20-year-old American goalkeeper Diego Kochen is currently gaining experience on loan at Lyngby in Denmark. The La Masia academy product was sent on loan by Barcelona to Lyngby this season and has secured a starting spot. However, Kochen still hopes to return to Barcelona in the future.

So far this season, Kochen has started all 9 matches in the Danish Superliga, accumulating 810 minutes of play. Despite Lyngby currently having only 7 points and ranking 10th in the league, the team's poor form has not affected Kochen's consistent playing time.

For Kochen, being able to consistently participate in official matches and gain experience is a key objective of this loan spell, and he appears to be gradually achieving this goal.

Nevertheless, Kochen has never forgotten his time at Barcelona. His La Masia academy career and training with the first team left a deep impression on him.

When asked about his future, Kochen said: "I'm currently on loan at Lyngby, and I want to play as much as possible and give my all for this club. But I'm from Barcelona, so returning to Barcelona would be a dream for any kid."

Kochen joined Barcelona in 2019 and progressed through the youth ranks, eventually earning the opportunity to train with the first team. Although he has never played a competitive match for Barcelona's senior squad, he has trained alongside players like Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri, and Robert Lewandowski.

Recalling this experience, Kochen stated: "It's incredible to be surrounded by players like that."

Additionally, Kochen vividly remembers the celebrations in the city streets following Barcelona's league title win. He said: "Seeing everyone in the city out on the streets, that scene was absolutely incredible."

Beyond his club development, Kochen has also progressed with the national team. He has already made his debut for the US senior national team and is gradually receiving more opportunities to represent his country.

Kochen does not believe his age of 20 will be a hindrance. He stated: "When you step onto the field, age no longer matters."
