Barcelona Football Club attended a charity event in Los Angeles, once again demonstrating that the club's commitment extends far beyond the football pitch. The event, held at the residence of actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, was attended by Barcelona's First Vice President, Rafa Yuste. The initiative aims to support After-School All-Stars, a nonprofit organization founded by Schwarzenegger dedicated to providing educational opportunities, athletic programs, and personal development for children and teenagers.

Throughout the evening, representatives from the sports, social, and cultural sectors gathered with a shared goal: to contribute to the development of the next generation through programs that promote education, athletic activities, and personal growth. In this context, Barcelona's presence highlighted the club's emphasis on social values and its commitment to using sport as a tool for positive change.

During the event, Rafa Yuste presented Arnold Schwarzenegger with a Barcelona jersey bearing his name. This gift holds significant meaning, representing not only the identity of the Blaugrana but also strengthening the relationship between the Catalan club and an initiative that creates opportunities for children and teenagers through educational and sports programs.

Conveying Values

After-School All-Stars is dedicated to helping young people access after-school activities, promoting learning, growth, and overall well-being. The organization aims to create a space for young people to develop their abilities, discover new interests, acquire skills, and find positive role models to help them plan their futures.

Barcelona's participation in this initiative is consistent with the club's understanding of sport: football is not only about competition but also a means to convey core values such as unity, respect, effort, teamwork, and equal opportunity. These principles are central to Barcelona's identity, and their significance is reinforced when serving projects with social impact.

This Los Angeles event also enhanced Barcelona's social image on the international stage, demonstrating the club's commitment to charitable causes that place people at the center of its actions. The presentation of the jersey to Schwarzenegger symbolizes the convergence of two distinct fields—sport and society—united by a shared purpose: contributing to the well-being of the next generation.
