Manchester United Women have announced the appointment of Eva Olid as their new head coach. The 40-year-old has signed a contract until June 2028, with the option of a one-year extension.

The club has laid important groundwork to support the development of local youth talent and senior internationals while establishing a distinctive footballing style. Manchester United has invested heavily in academy infrastructure and facilities, aiming to create England's leading youth development system.

Olid is renowned for her advanced coaching philosophy and innovative approach. She joins from Heart of Midlothian Women, where she oversaw the most successful period in the club's history. She transformed Hearts Women from the Scottish second division, and this May led them to their first-ever Scottish Women's Premier League title.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Olid was named the Scottish Women's Premier League Coach of the Season and won the PFA Scotland Women's Premier League Manager of the Year award.
