On September 19, the Swedish Football Association officially announced that Wolfsburg midfielder Mattias Svanberg withdrew from the current national team training camp due to injury. Head coach Graham Potter decided to call up Hugo Larsson to replace him.

The Swedish Football Association announced its new national squad on Wednesday, with the training camp beginning the following Monday. During this camp, the Swedish men's national team will face Romania, Poland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Svanberg was originally included in the Swedish squad but had to withdraw due to a minor injury that will prevent him from participating in the national team training camp.

Sweden coach Potter subsequently decided to call up Hugo Larsson as a replacement. Hugo Larsson recently completed a transfer from German football to the Premier League, joining Fulham.

This gives Hugo Larsson an opportunity to feature in the upcoming national team training camp as Sweden prepares for their international matches.
