According to Sport Mediaset, a 20-year-old referee was injured during a match, prompting the Prefect of Napoli to condemn the stadium violence.

Michele di Bari, Prefect of Napoli, stated: "There is no excuse for such incidents, which are a deep wound for the entire community and the sports world. Football stadiums should be places of fair play, cohesion, passion, and mutual respect. To turn them into places filled with aggression and intolerance is to betray the educational and civil values that sport should transmit to the younger generation."

Di Bari made these remarks while commenting on the incident that occurred on Saturday at the Patarano stadium. During a Prima Categoria league match between Lacco Ameno 2013 and Real San Giovanni-Frattamaggiore, a 20-year-old referee was injured, likely hit by a stone thrown by a spectator.

Di Bari expressed his "firm and total condemnation" of the incident and extended his sincerest condolences to the young referee, wishing them a speedy recovery. He also stated that relevant authorities "will not tolerate any form of illegality or hooliganism within sports facilities. For those who confuse sporting passion with violence, the strictest sanctions and restrictive measures will be applied according to current regulations to ensure that stadiums and playing fields are safe and welcoming spaces for families and true sports enthusiasts."

The matter will be further discussed at the next meeting of the Napoli Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety.
