Inter coach Chivu gave a lengthy interview on the FUTNET platform, discussing the differences between the Champions League and Serie A.

What have you learned from winning the Champions League as a player, and now as a coach, starting from the reserve league and achieving victory?
Winning the Champions League is wonderful. I think it's everyone's dream. It's such an important competition that you can truly feel it.
There is a big difference between league matches and Champions League matches. Whether it's the group stage or the round of 16, there's a significant difference in terms of individual player motivation, and the same applies to team motivation.
It's similar to playing for the national team. There are differences there as well. In terms of motivation, it's completely different from the daily rhythm of 38 league matches and playing every Sunday. The latter becomes routine at some point.
The risk is that emotionally, this daily rhythm might stimulate you less and less. But the Champions League and national team matches always provide something more.
Can people get used to victory, or even become numb to it?
The difficulty is that there is no secret recipe that guarantees you will win the Champions League. Money cannot buy the Champions League, nor can any philosophy guarantee you will win it. It's a combination of many factors, and these factors gradually converge during the season. Only at a certain point—I think around March, quite late—do you truly realize where you stand.
Because right now, it's easy to name a favorite on paper. But who will ultimately go all the way, who can truly achieve it, is not so easy to determine.
