According to Italian media reports, Alexandre Pato confirmed that Cardinale attempted to sign Endrick from Real Madrid this summer, but the deal was unsuccessful.

As the transfer window neared its close, rumors circulated that Milan had tried to sign Endrick. At the time, Endrick was thought to be a potential loan departure from Real Madrid, but the deal ultimately fell through.

Pato spoke about Endrick while reflecting on his Milan career at the Festival dello Sport. He said: "Endrick? I think he needs a change because it's not easy to find a place at Real Madrid. I don't know what he thinks, but he can't always let his agent make decisions for him. In my opinion, he needs to find another club."

Pato also stated: "I know Cardinale tried to bring him to Milan, but it didn't work out. Cardinale always wants the best for Milan. We spoke briefly in Copenhagen a few days ago; he cares deeply about Milan and will do everything he can for the club."
