According to Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte, Danish striker Højlund explained why he confronted Jorge Jesus after the match.

Højlund stated: "Because he wouldn't even look me in the eye. That didn't seem like good sportsmanship to me. After a match, you should shake hands properly. He gave me a cold shove in the chest and then ignored me. So I said, 'Are you serious?' That's it."
