According to Foot Mercato, Neymar posted a tribute to Messi ahead of his farewell match for the Argentine national team.

With only a few hours left until Messi's final match for Argentina against Benin, tributes to him continue to pour in. Neymar is one of Messi's most iconic former teammates, having played alongside him at Barcelona from 2013 to 2017 and at Paris Saint-Germain from 2021 to 2023.

Neymar wrote: "Everyone who loves football has been able to enjoy your talent over the years... Today is your last game in the national team jersey, representing your country. I hope you enjoy every second, and I hope all the tributes you receive today make you happy. It's not just Argentina thanking you, but the whole world for everything you've brought to football.
