Gasperini discussed Roma's ambitions in Serie A in an interview with Corriere della Sera, stating that the team wouldn't mind achieving its objectives ahead of schedule.

With Serie A's return approaching, Gasperini was interviewed by Corriere della Sera during the launch of his wine "Freisa 343," whose profits will be donated to charity. Speaking about the 3-4-3 formation, Gasperini said: "The 3-4-3 has always been my reference formation, although I have experimented with different variations throughout my coaching career. In Italy, this formation has never been favored. I brought it from abroad, especially from Holland. There is no doubt that, so far, my greatest achievements with it have been at Atalanta."

Gasperini also jokingly positioned his wine within a formation: "Freisa 343 is not a sparkling wine, otherwise I would place it on the front line. I think it is better suited to controlling the tempo in midfield." He stated that the numbers of the formation are not the most important thing; teamwork is fundamental: "The forwards must participate in defense, and the defenders must participate in attack. To be honest, like wine, nothing in football is created from nothing. Team spirit is crucial; the team needs commitment and dedication."

Speaking about Roma, Gasperini said: "This is, of course, a completely different environment, but the city is not bad. The biggest problem is the diet here. I have to be careful with carbonara, or I'll gain more weight." Regarding Roma's ambitions in Serie A, he commented: "Our plan is to achieve the objective in three years. We wouldn't mind finishing earlier, but we also know it's a long road. Football doesn't have straight paths or clear routes; there will be highs and lows. If we manage that well, who knows..."

When asked about a possible return to Atalanta in the future, Gasperini said: "Who can rule out that possibility? One thing is certain: I haven't sold my house in Bergamo. Bergamo is the place where I spent the most time and felt most deeply connected during my football career. I have no regrets, but I miss the group I integrated perfectly into. I usually go back, and I miss everything about Bergamo."
