Ahead of the match against Chelsea, Bournemouth manager Marco Rose declared that he had a defensive plan to counter Chelsea's three attacking threats. However, each member of Chelsea's attacking trio contributed to a goal, leading to Bournemouth being "destroyed" by a heavy defeat.

At the pre-match press conference, when asked about Chelsea's three attacking players, Rose said: "We need to find a way to neutralize them, especially when they have the ball. We also need to be careful about Bournemouth's counter-attacks and our coordination with Rodrygo, Palmer, and Neto on the flanks. So it's very difficult to defend against. But we have a plan and we're going there to win the match."

However, Bournemouth was unable to limit the performance of Chelsea's three attackers. During the match, Palmer provided 1 assist, Pedro scored 2 goals, and Rodrygo scored 1 goal. The three, along with Henderson, "ruthlessly destroyed" Bournemouth.
