Iturralde González, a former La Liga referee and current referee analyst, stated on Cadena SER that Mourinho and his coaching staff are deliberately creating tension before, during, and after matches to make Real Madrid fans believe the club is being treated unfairly.

Tensions between Real Madrid and referees continue to escalate. Real Madrid's increasingly fierce criticism of referees, combined with the hostile atmosphere surrounding match officials in every game, is alarming the Spanish Football Federation. Mourinho and his coaching staff have once again become the focus of attention, accused of employing a strategy of relentless pressure on referees.

Commenting on Real Madrid's coaching staff approach, Iturralde said: "This is a strategy being used by Real Madrid's coaching staff to create tension before, during, and after matches."

According to him, the goal extends beyond disputing individual decisions—it aims to craft a specific narrative around Real Madrid. Iturralde stated: "They want to spread a narrative that doesn't match reality, making their fans feel the club is being treated unfairly and creating the impression that everyone is against Real Madrid."

Iturralde believes Mourinho's arrival has changed how Real Madrid approaches pressuring referees. On this matter, Iturralde said: "From last season to this season, Real Madrid hasn't changed many players, but this season, everyone protests every foul decision, every throw-in decision. When Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso, and Arbeloa were coaches, they didn't do this, but when Mourinho is the coach, they do. All of this is calculated and deliberate."

Iturralde also linked this situation to the upcoming El Clásico and the Negreira case. According to him, this unresolved matter has intensified the controversy surrounding referees. Iturralde said: "The Negreira case remains unsolved, and the noise around referees is even louder. El Clásico will take place in two weeks, and Mr. Mourinho is precisely an expert at creating tension. He's done this in Portugal, Italy, and England; he uses these tactics to compete. This is nothing new."

Javier Herráez stated that even a day after the match against Villarreal, there remains a strong belief within Real Madrid that the referee's decisions disadvantaged the club. However, the club is also concerned about the team's performance, as they haven't played at the level the club expects.

Anton Meana also questioned Mourinho's priorities. Meana said: "Mourinho came to Real Madrid to help the team play better football, but also to bring up the Negreira case every day. He should care more about how the team is playing than about how referees are officiating Real Madrid's matches."
