The People’s Elephant’s forward has rued his inability to secure a deal abroad from his recent trips but said he is now focused on Enyimba

After a less successful journey abroad, Chinonso Okonkwo says he is happy with his Enyimba return.
The striker returned to the People's Elephants fold after he was unable to find his feet in Latvia and Vietnam.
And has since been resourceful for Gbenga Ogunbote's side after weighing in with three goals.
“I am happy to be back to help my club. I have played fewer league matches this season because I had been on the move for the most part of it,” Okonkwo told Goal.
"I went to Latvia and I was told I had a season contract with a club there but I do not know why the contract was terminated. I also travelled to Vietnam but I was told I got there late. I am now with Enyimba heart and soul and I am back to contribute my quota towards ensuring that we win the league at the end of the season.
“I have had some career disappointments but I have to be strong and continue to wait on God. I have played only three matches this season and I have scored three goals. I could have got more had I stayed behind. I don’t have any regrets making the trip and I will go again if I have something real before the end of the transfer window in Europe.”
