Chelsea have signed 19-year-old Giulia Dragoni on a permanent deal from Barcelona.

After spending the last two seasons on loan with Roma, Dragoni has now signed a four-year deal with the Blues.
Dragoni helped Roma win the Serie A women's title last term and was named the competition's midfielder of the season.
She directly contributed to the third-most goals among midfielders in the Italian top flight last term (11 – seven goals, four assists), while also winning the third-most duels among her team-mates (49) and completing the fourth-most passes (402).
Dragoni was also part of Barca's Champions League-winning squad in 2023-24, albeit in a limited role after joining from Inter the previous year.
"I still can’t believe I have signed for Chelsea!" Dragoni told the club website.

"When I was a child, not even in my biggest dreams did I think I would sign for Chelsea. It’s unbelievable. I’m really excited.
"I spoke with Sonia [Bompastor] and she introduced me to the project here and showed me the possibilities.
"We all know Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so it wasn’t hard to convince me to come here.
"I want to show people why I'm here and why Chelsea wanted to sign me.
"I've achieved a lot already, but I can't wait to achieve more with this club. I will do as much as I can to help the team win as many trophies as possible.
"There’s a lot I want to achieve as a Chelsea player. I hope we can do big things in the Champions League and, of course, we all know that the Women’s Super League is the toughest in the world. So, I want to win that too."
Chelsea begin their 2026-27 WSL campaign at home to Aston Villa on September 5.
