Following losses to Sassuolo and an upcoming Europa League match against AEK Larnaca, Juventus is looking to move forward quickly. The club must demonstrate they can overcome the difficulties and limitations already evident in their opening matches. Former Juventus defender Porrini spoke to TuttoMercatoWeb about the team's struggles.

What do you think of Juventus' start to the season?
"It's another season that started with great expectations, but there's already some disappointment. It's just the beginning, and there's still room for improvement. The loss to Sassuolo has reignited criticism, and it becomes even more difficult to play in that jersey in such an environment."
Do you think it's difficult for Spalletti to turn things around? Conte's name has been mentioned again.
"I've always had faith in Spalletti—he's excellent. The squad he has isn't the strongest, but you can't lose a match like the one against Sassuolo. That's when people start thinking that perhaps only Conte, or a few others, can change this environment."
How do you explain losses like the one to Sassuolo?
"This defeat shows that Juventus is under pressure. After equalizing, the outside world saw it as a failure, so the team, desperate to win at all costs, showed an almost irrational approach. That said, I prefer a team that goes all out to win, even if they lose because of it. They need to learn from their mistakes and avoid repeating them, but I'd rather see this desire to win than the defensive, cautious approach of the past."
Difficulties in attack.
"Zhegrova changed the game; otherwise, I saw almost nothing. The forwards weren't active enough. Kolo Muani? I feel like all the forwards Juventus has put on the pitch are struggling. The ability is there, but the key is unlocking the game. Vlahovic has received a lot of criticism, but even when he misses chances, he keeps scoring. The others aren't as productive."
Will the Europa League be an opportunity for Juventus?
"Of course. When you wear the black and white jersey, you're competing for every trophy from the start. You can't just focus on performing well—you have to think about winning. There are certainly strong opponents, but the Europa League is a more achievable goal to focus on. Winning a European trophy would bring real passion back to the club."
Is Roma the only team that can compete with Inter in the title race?
"As things stand, Roma is the only team that can really compete with Inter. Because of their style of play, and also because Gasperini has already led them to an important achievement—reaching the Champions League. Over time, his team will improve and better understand his philosophy. AC Milan, Napoli, Juventus, and Lazio all seem to be two or three steps behind at the moment."
