Mbappe recently gave an exclusive interview to Jose Felix Diaz, editorial director of "AS," at the Real Madrid training ground. This was the French striker's first interview with a Spanish newspaper since joining Real Madrid, and they had an in-depth conversation. In the fifth part of this interview, Mbappe discussed his views on Yamal's talent, the upcoming Madrid derby, and the boos from Bernabéu fans, among other topics.

Reporter: One gets the feeling that you are all competing against each other, right? Because you're all there, and no one is falling behind. Haaland, you, Messi, Vini Jr., especially in the early stages, you're all scoring goals, and Kane—everyone is performing... I think this is a World Cup for stars and leaders.
Mbappe: Indeed, many players have stepped up. That's good; it's good to have such a competitive atmosphere. Ultimately, the World Cup is the most important event in this sport. The whole world is watching, and the whole world will remember. When you see the best players in the world come here to prove themselves, you can see what they did and whether it made history. I think this tournament will be remembered for many years because so much happened—enough to be unforgettable.
Reporter: What do you think of Lamine Yamal? He said the other day that you and he are currently the two best players in the world.
Mbappe: I think he is an extremely talented player. I have a feeling he will have a brilliant career. I wish him, his family, and everyone around him all the best.
Reporter: What about your teammates who train with you every day? What do you think of them? I think they are all... it's a constellation of stars. Now Tchouaméni has also arrived; he seemed to need some time to adapt at first, but then he suddenly exploded.
Mbappe: It takes stages and processes. We've talked about processes, about building understanding among players within the team and within the overall structure. Tchouaméni is part of that. From the first day he arrived, you could see this kid had immense talent. But you also know the pressure of Real Madrid—people are talking about him costing 140 million euros. He's still very young, only 24. But the talent is there; we can all see it, and he has already shown in matches that he truly has something special. We try to protect him and all the players in the team because ultimately we need everyone. A season is very long, and if we want to compete in all competitions, we cannot rely on just 11 players.
Reporter: The derby. It's coming soon; it's a special match. And as a Real Madrid player, you haven't scored at the Metropolitano yet, have you? Or did you not win that match?
Mbappe: I've scored against all La Liga teams (laughs).
Reporter: That's true. No, you're missing one. You seem to have played against them—no, Deportivo La Coruña. You still need to score against them.
Mbappe: Yes, I haven't played against them yet.
Reporter: Two more games against Deportivo La Coruña.
Mbappe: Yes. But this is a derby, a match we always look forward to playing, a match full of intensity, a match that means a lot to the Merengues and to us. When we play here, this is the type of match we want. Especially away games. I really like playing away because you can see the players' personalities. I think it's very important to show personality in this kind of match. We need to continue our current good momentum, to win the game with personality, sacrifice, and commitment.
Reporter: We can't overlook Barcelona, right? Their current form... at least they've been winning.
Mbappe: Yes, that's good for them. I don't like talking about other teams because I'm not there and don't know how they operate. They did win their matches, but this is only the beginning of the season.
Reporter: One last question. Explain that jersey incident from yesterday. Or do you want to clarify anything?

Mbappe: Yes, yes, yes, I understand. I think it's good to explain so that people clearly understand that wearing that shirt was purely a club decision. As players, we had to wear it. First, I must say I stand with the people of Ceuta and all the victims because before being a player, I am first and foremost a human being. But at the same time, I want to express my feelings and care for all immigrants who have lost their lives and those in difficult situations. This was not an easy position because ultimately people might think I am against the people of Ceuta, but absolutely not. I have no prejudice against them; I support them one hundred percent and extend my deepest condolences. But I also want to express my care for all those who are suffering because ultimately I am human, and I don't want to prioritize one person's suffering over another's, you understand? Many people are suffering, and it grieves me deeply to see such things happening in the world. I am someone who wishes for a better world and always tries to convey positive and peaceful messages. I hope this situation can be resolved as soon as possible.
Reporter: One last question. Leave a message for those Real Madrid fans who sometimes feel a bit anxious at the Bernabéu. Give them an optimistic word.
Mbappe: High expectations. That's what it is. This is Real Madrid.
Reporter: So do you understand the boos?
Mbappe: I understand. The only thing I want to say is that everything has its context. Sometimes we are trying to win and they see it's a difficult game, and they must feel we need the Bernabéu at this moment because it's the best stadium in the world. We have the best fans in the world. When they are with us, we are much stronger. But I also understand that there are high expectations. We didn't win last season, and people are tired. So I can understand that; it's normal. But they must also understand that if we want to win championships, we can't do it without them. Even with the highest level of performance, commitment, and everything else, we can't win without them. So I ask that we stand together because I believe that way we will be stronger in competing for championships.
