According to Corriere dello Sport, Thuram has contributed eight goals and six assists in his last 13 appearances for Internazionale, and contract renewal talks will soon become a priority for the club.

Despite not yet being in peak physical condition, Thuram has demonstrated his importance to Inzaghi's side in the early stages of the season. Corriere dello Sport believes that his characteristics are particularly crucial in certain phases of play, and his outstanding performances can change the course of a game, making him an indispensable part of Internazionale's tactical system.

The newspaper states that Pio Esposito and Bonny will both receive plenty of opportunities this season. The former can provide height and a focal point for the attack, while the latter can enhance the team's attacking threat, but Thuram remains the primary partner alongside Lautaro as Internazionale's No. 9.

In the match against Gasperini's Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, Thuram was instrumental in a comeback, scoring a crucial brace. He continually invigorated Internazionale's attack and caused constant problems for the Roma defense.

Commenting on Thuram's performance, Corriere dello Sport wrote: "The assist for Internazionale's opening goal was just part of his brilliant display. Before being substituted late in the match, he nearly produced a spectacular goal. He attempted a delicate chip from midfield over Svilar, missing by just a few centimeters; that strike would have been a candidate for goal of the season."

France's new coach Zidane did not call up the in-form Thuram. However, Corriere dello Sport points out that this is not entirely negative. Thuram can remain at Internazionale's training ground to continue his preparation, aiming to regain peak form and provide greater support to the club while working to reclaim his place in the French squad.

The newspaper added: "Thuram has scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in his last 13 games for Internazionale, which is an encouraging start. He must maintain this level after the international break and play a greater role in European competitions. Zidane likely wants to see him perform at this standard in those matches before recalling him to the national team. The motivation from being overlooked will help Thuram remain focused and strive for more consistent performances."

Corriere dello Sport concluded that if Thuram continues to deliver consistently, Internazionale will find it easier to advance contract renewal negotiations. This will soon become a priority for club management and sporting director Dario Baccin.
