Manchester United has announced its financial results for the previous season, reporting record revenue of £677.6 million but also recording a loss of £43 million.

Manchester United achieved record annual revenue of £677.6 million in the 2024/25 season and operating profit of £22.6 million. However, debt has increased and the club still recorded a total loss of £43 million, up £10 million from the previous year.

These financial statements cover the period to the end of June this year, so they do not fully include the most recent transfer window. However, they cover a period when Manchester United did not participate in European competitions and had no kit sponsorship deal.

Despite positive financial performance, debt increased from £471.9 million a year ago to £577.6 million due to bond refinancing in early this year and unfavorable interest rate movements.

While there is optimism at Old Trafford that the club is heading in the right direction, Berrada emphasized that the club will maintain a strict spending approach.

Berrada said: "We are delighted to achieve record revenue and adjusted EBITDA, which demonstrates the underlying strength of our business operations, particularly during a season without European competitions."
