Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon, in an interview during the "Operazione Nostalgia" charity match in Ancona, spoke about Juventus under coach Spalletti

Buffon said: "Spalletti is a guarantee for Juventus. I think he proved that in his first six months coaching Juventus last year. Unfortunately, they ultimately failed to qualify for the Champions League."

"I never attribute the reason to bad luck or misfortune, but they played some very good games, and the final results did not live up to what they deserved. Unfortunately, they paid a very heavy price for that."

Speaking about Juventus' competitiveness this season, Buffon stated: "Of course, without making meaningless bold statements, Juventus is a team capable of remaining competitive, but that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win the title, or are necessarily Inter Milan's main title rival."

"This team is capable of having a high-level season and qualifying for the Champions League. As for finishing first, that would be a remarkable job accomplished by the coach, all management staff, and the players together."
