Ferdinand stated on his podcast that Manchester United missed the opportunity to sign forwards like Welbeck or Benzema, who could have helped Šeško develop at the club.

"If you know you have to manage his playing time appropriately, I completely agree with you," he said on Vibe with Five.

"Without a striker like that, the team lacks a true focal point. Our players often prefer to drop deep to get the ball and participate in build-up play, but this leaves the front line without support."

"But if you have someone like that in your squad, I'd say you could share playing time, share the pressure, and provide experience—impart that experience to Šeško so he can also learn and grow. A signing like that could bring far more than just a player who can play 90 minutes."

"So, yes, the first names that come to mind are obviously Welbeck and Benzema. In my opinion, these two players could have brought immense value to our current attacking options."
