According to Manchester Evening News, Jamal Murray-Gabriel, a 15-year-old prospect at Manchester United, remains keen to leave the club and is currently training in Catalonia during the international break to maintain his fitness while awaiting clarity on his future.

Gabriel is regarded as one of the most promising talents in world football, though uncertainty over his future persists. He is currently in Spain, planning his next career steps.

Last month, Gabriel formally requested an immediate contract termination with Manchester United, but the club's leadership rejected the request and remain determined to keep the young player. While his future remains uncertain, he is training in Barcelona with personal coach Jake Hunter at a facility in Castelldefels to maintain his fitness. Gabriel and his family frequently visit Barcelona and are keen for him to join the club in the future. Meanwhile, Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho has also reportedly expressed interest in signing him. However, Barcelona's sporting director Deco downplayed these rumours during an appearance at the Portuguese football summit.

On Gabriel, Deco said: "There's nothing to say about this boy. It's normal that players are linked with us; these things always happen. There's a big market behind it, with lots of interests involved, even for young players. But we're not interested in any player in his situation. I'm not sure what's really happening now, or whether he's still a Manchester United player or not. We're not involved in this. Before attempting anything, we need to clarify the specific situation. Talking about young players, teenage players, is not something we should do."

Gabriel will turn 16 next week, but under regulations, he cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 17. Amid the widespread attention this matter has generated, Manchester United manager Michael Carrick recently appealed for calm regarding the young talent.

On Gabriel's situation, Carrick stated: "I'll just reiterate what I've said before: he's still a child, and it's important not to reveal any details here. We must be careful about the attention and scrutiny he's receiving, maintain a balanced perspective, and think about what's best for him. Everything will resolve itself naturally."
