After Portugal's 4-2 away victory over Denmark, head coach Jorge Jesus spoke to Sport TV about the team's performance, the players' trust in him, and how to deal with outside criticism.

On the match itself

Jesus said: "For me, playing football requires risk, but it's a calculated risk. We have three different defensive approaches, constantly pressing in the opponent's half. It's physically demanding, but the players believe in this philosophy. Just today, my center-backs told me: 'If I need to go after the striker, I will.' So they believe in this philosophy."

Do you feel the players are on your side?

Jesus said: "They have no reason not to support me. The important thing is what we need to do. I know why you're asking this question. Some things happen, but they won't divide the team or us."

With all the external discussions, does winning become even more important?

Jesus said: "The important thing is to win! That's a coach's life. Do you know what a coach's amulet is? Forget the names... Its name is victory."
