According to Spanish media outlet Defensa Central, Mourinho plans to adjust the work distribution in Real Madrid's midfield, allowing Tchouaméni to focus on defense while four of his teammates handle offensive playmaking.

The report indicates that Mourinho has chosen Güler, Bernardo Silva, Bellingham, and Valverde to orchestrate attacks. He values the technical abilities and ball control of these four players, believing they are better suited to this role than French midfielder Tchouaméni.

Mourinho believes that while Tchouaméni is an important defensive midfielder, he lacks the characteristics needed to orchestrate attacks under pressure. He therefore wants Tchouaméni to focus on ball recovery, limiting opposing attacks, and positioning, leaving playmaking duties to more suitable teammates.

Mourinho plans for Valverde to play a central role in a double pivot, supported by Güler and Bernardo Silva. Both will drop back during initial phases of attack construction to provide more passing options and mitigate the impact of the opponent's high press.

Mourinho also intends to gradually give Bellingham a more advanced role, linking midfield and attack, creating space for teammates, and offering a solution against compact defenses to accelerate ball circulation and improve overall coordination efficiency.

Mourinho emphasizes that Valverde should not be isolated when orchestrating attacks, especially against teams applying high pressure. The midfielders must move collaboratively and create passing angles to break the press and maintain possession.

Not assigning playmaking duties to Tchouaméni does not mean he is less important in Mourinho's plans. Mourinho wants to leverage his defensive strengths by giving him responsibilities that better match his characteristics. This differs from the roles he held previously under Carlo Ancelotti, Xabi Alonso, and Arbeloa.
