According to AS, Mbappé has returned to Real Madrid City after a short break and resumed training to prepare for Sunday's match against Villarreal. The French forward's left knee injury diagnosis was reassuring, and he agreed with head coach José Mourinho on a recovery plan.

After ending his few days off and returning to train at Valdebebas, Mbappé was back at Real Madrid City a few hours later, beginning preparations with his teammates for the match against Villarreal (Sunday at 3:00 AM CET). The French forward returned to Madrid on Monday morning local time (cameras captured him arriving around 11:15 AM) and underwent individual training in the afternoon under the supervision of the coaching staff.

Mbappé was forced to leave the field with severe pain during Zinedine Zidane's recent match with the French national team. After scoring the opening goal for France, the player immediately felt intense pain in his left leg. He fell to the ground and requested a substitution. Initially, there were fears of the worst: last season, the forward suffered a severe sprain in that same joint. He returned to Madrid for examination by the Real Madrid medical team, and the diagnosis reassured everyone. According to the medical report issued by the club, the forward suffered from "hyperextension of the posterior capsule of the left knee."

After reaching an agreement with Mourinho, the French forward was given a few days off but consistently followed a recovery plan approved by Real Madrid. The club monitored all aspects of his rehabilitation.

Mbappé and Mourinho work together perfectly. The Portuguese coach praised him this summer, affirming Mbappé's early arrival for training at Valdebebas in an interview with Josep Pedrerol. Mbappé himself stated in an exclusive interview with AS: "He is extremely intelligent, which explains his tremendous success. He is very close to us players and cares deeply about us. He is a leader and knows how to motivate us. It's an honor to play under him." A complete chemistry has developed between the coach and the player.
