Sherwood believes Tottenham Hotspur lacks leaders and that the new signings have failed to impress.

When Aston Villa took a 1-0 lead in London, Tottenham Hotspur appeared set to extend their winless streak in the Premier League before the international break.
Former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood told Sky Sports' Tottenham Hotspur podcast: "It's certainly a concern, especially at home, because that's when you need to be strong."
"You need people to stand out and show character and leadership, but it seems there are no such leaders and players with character around them now.
"I'm not sure if anyone is really losing patience or inspiring their teammates, trying to turn things around. This is a very bad trend, because they don't react when they're losing."
"The manager, however, does react. He's clearly passionate. But you need that on the pitch, in the dressing room, on the training ground and every day. I'm not sure if there are players with that character here."
"When Roberto De Zerbi picked his five captain candidates, I asked him at the press conference, and Robertson wasn't among those five.
"Archie Gray is on the list, but Archie Gray won't be in the squad regularly, so I'm a bit concerned about the leadership in this dressing room.
"How many players will really push each other and drive each other on?
"Cristian Romero can be a bit too aggressive at times, but sometimes you really want him alongside you, so I'd like to see those players be tougher."
Tottenham Hotspur's failure to secure a win early in the Premier League season has left them near the bottom of the table. After five matches, the club's worst start in Premier League history raised questions about their lavish summer spending.
So, among the 10 new signings brought in this summer for over £330 million, who has impressed Sherwood?
"No one, not a single one," he insisted. "I can't say anyone has really impressed me. Nobody who has taken to the pitch has performed better than those who were here last season.
"They're underperforming, that's it. We always judge by results, so I won't look at a player and think: 'Okay, you still had some credit in this game,' because the team is losing, and I don't think anyone played exceptionally well."
The fact that Tottenham Hotspur's new signings have struggled to adapt to the team has also left Sherwood worried about the latest batch of recruits.
"Tottenham Hotspur's record in the transfer market over the last four or five years hasn't been great," he said.
"They haven't signed a truly decent player in a long time. Now, I'm not saying these signings are bad; I'm saying they haven't yet proven their worth, and they still have plenty of time to rebuild confidence and show their true quality.
"We've seen glimpses of their performances at other clubs, and some flashes, but playing for Tottenham Hotspur is something completely different."
He added: "In the transfer market over the last five years, I've seen more 'noes' than 'yeses'."
"I think their best signing in recent years has to be Son Heung-min — and that was a long time ago! That was a truly successful signing.
"Perhaps Dejan Kulusevski, but then he got injured. Other than that, I can't say they've had many particularly successful cases in the transfer market.
"But it's Roberto De Zerbi's job to develop these players. I hope some of the players we've seen over the years eventually become unrecognizable improvements."
