Recently, netizens claimed that they were subjected to racial discrimination by a foreign player at Wuhan Port due to emotional comments in the replies. They have provided further explanation in the comments section on our platform.

Original statement from the netizen:

I am the person involved in a private message conversation with the player in the screenshot (account danny.1225_). After seeing the screenshot of the original post reposted on Dongqiudi and sparking widespread discussion, I wish to clarify the full context and subsequent developments to avoid information gaps and overstatement:

First, I sincerely apologize for the inappropriate comment I left on the player's post and for using emotionally charged language such as "fishing for attention" in my initial post on this platform. This was an impulsive action that lacked consideration and was inappropriate. I had no intention of defending my initial comment and have reflected deeply on this matter.

Following this incident, I reported the situation to Wuhan Port Football Club. The club responded positively, stating that they had already warned the player internally and apologized to me.

Subsequently, Rodrigo Mesquita, the player's father, sincerely apologized to me through private messages with a humble and responsible attitude.

Considering that the other party is only 19 years old and my original intention was never to destroy a young player's career, I accepted his father's apology. I also formally apologized to his father for my initial inappropriate comment. Both parties have reached an understanding and resolved the matter.

Before the post was reposted and amplified, I had already deleted the original post on social media. Since the club and the player's family acknowledged the mistake and apologized sincerely, this matter has been properly resolved privately.

I hope all football fans can view this matter rationally, refrain from excessive attacks on both sides, and I hope this young player can learn from this experience. Thank you for your attention. This matter is concluded and will not require further public discussion.
