The shot-stopper has praised the Desert Warriors management for sorting out wages on time, which allows the players to focus on the pitch

El Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper, George Michael says the welfare at the club is commendable as players wages are paid as at when due.

The Desert Warriors shot-stopper stated that their salaries hit their account as soon as Borno State civil servant receive theirs.

"Before the season started promises were made and so far those promises have been met," Michael told Goal.

"Salaries have been consistent, same as bonuses. Once the civil servants are paid we shall get ours too so it has been smooth all along. I may not be able to talk about other clubs but I am sure of what happens at my own club.

"You see that we are focused on our job, there's no form of distraction and the result has shown on where we are in the log.

"We are five points behind the league leaders, Plateau United but continue to challenge and keep the pressure on them.

"Players know that they get their payment alert as at when due so the only thing on our mind now is to deliver the result which we are all committed to."
