Despite enduring their worst season since his arrival, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have given themselves a chance to salvage something from it come May, after beating Nottingham Forest 2-0 in today's semi-final.

Rico Lewis handed his side a lead within two minutes at Wembley, before Josko Gvardiol doubled the champions' lead on the other side of half-time.
City head to their third straight FA Cup final next month and will face Crystal Palace, who thumped Aston Villa 3-0 yesterday.
Meanwhile, Forest's attention will turn solely to the Premier League top-five race. Nuno Espirito Santo's side sit sixth in one of the most nail-biting races for Champions League football in years. Newcastle in third separate Aston Villa in seventh by just five points.
