Japanese international Go Hatano was interviewed by Japanese media and spoke about Ayase Ueda, who has left Feyenoord.

On Ayase Ueda's departure

"I heard that Ueda wanted to transfer. Although I secretly hoped he would stay, I also felt it was time for Ueda to take the next step. The move to Lille was probably finalized the day before the match, and before the match, I heard the deal was basically done. So both Ueda and I went into that match with the mentality that it was our last game together."

"The other players had no idea about the Lille transfer being confirmed, and I didn't think the staff knew either. So after the match ended 2-2, I was actually hesitant about exchanging shirts, but Ueda brought it up himself. He left after giving everything, so I think he departed Feyenoord as a truly outstanding player."

"It's a shame to see him go, of course. But Lille is close by, and I had anticipated he would leave early in the season.
