According to Mundo Deportivo, La Liga president Javier Tebas stated on Wednesday that, as long as Gianni Infantino remains in office and there are no surprises, the 2030 World Cup final will be held in Morocco. He also admitted that he would prefer Spain to win the championship rather than have the final held in Spain.

At a conference organized by the Association of Aragonese Executives and Managers in Huesca, Tebas pointed out that Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, is a "very powerful" figure who also serves as Morocco's Minister of Finance and is a member of the FIFA Executive Committee. He believes that since Lekjaa stated the final would be held in Morocco, there must be a reason for it.

Tebas also joked that, given Morocco is building the Hassan II Stadium with specific specifications in Casablanca, "this certainly can't be for a cricket final."

Furthermore, he criticized La Liga's complete lack of involvement in World Cup organization efforts, despite La Liga being responsible for managing access to Spanish stadiums. He admitted that his relationship with the current Spanish government is "not good" and lamented: "In recent years, too many things in this country have made no sense, so it's not surprising if any situation arises, which is sad."
