Courtois currently has no plans to retire in the near future. He still hopes to play several more seasons in a Real Madrid jersey: "I want to play for another five or six years." This statement shows that as long as his physical condition and motivation remain strong, he will continue playing.

"I haven't decided what I want to do after retirement. I'm not sure if coaching a first team is really suited to me: dealing with so many players every day might age me quickly," Courtois said, though he also mentioned another possibility for his future.

His future might still be in Madrid, but in a completely different role. The former Chelsea and Atlético Madrid goalkeeper expressed particular interest in working with Real Madrid's goalkeeping department, where he hopes to help develop young talents. "I want to build a top academy to develop the next generation of goalkeepers rather than waiting to buy them," he said.

For now, Courtois remains focused on Real Madrid. Although Belgium called him up for the Nations League, he chose not to answer the call, instead dedicating this time to physical recovery and preparing for club competitions. This decision reflects his commitment to continue playing for Real Madrid for the long term.
