This week, Dominic Solanke was interviewed by @Dudumassa on Migu Sports, where he discussed his friendships, daily life, and other topics.

Today, the environment where we recorded is quite different from usual. Can you tell our audience where we are?

This is a garden near my home. Actually, it's my first time being here. I usually walk along the riverside and take different routes. Sometimes with my daughter. I don't know much about this place since I've just discovered it.

I live about a minute's walk from here. I really love this area, which is filled with parks, rivers, lakes, and small animals. It's very calming for me, and my daughter can relax here and be close to nature. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Can you describe what a typical day looks like for you during your days off?

It's always different. On my days off, I like sleeping in bed for a long time. After I wake up from sleep, I spend time playing with my daughter and go out for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I go into the city for a walk, but other times I stay home, rest a bit, play PlayStation, spend time with my wife and daughter, have dinner with the family, and then I go to bed after putting the kids to sleep.

You just mentioned PlayStation. Which game are you best at?

I wouldn't say I'm the best at any game. I only play Call of Duty. I haven't touched other games.

Among the TV shows you've been watching recently, are there any you'd recommend to everyone?

We prefer watching series. I had planned to watch The Gentlemen from the beginning, but then I realized I'd already watched it. Now that a new season has come out, I'll continue watching it.

If your friends had to describe you in real life with just three words, what do you think they would say?

Outside of football, in daily life? I'd say compassionate, sometimes a bit crazy, and funny.

Speaking of friends, you have good personal relationships with players from other clubs like Manchester City and Aston Villa. You played together at some point. How do you maintain those friendships after you're no longer at the same club?

That's a good question. Maintaining friendships is really not easy. It requires effort from both sides. You need to stay in constant contact. If the friendship is important to you, even a simple "How are you?" once or twice a month is enough. Now it's easier. We still compete against each other, and most of us live quite close to each other.

I still stay in touch with former Arsenal teammates like Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Danny Alves who is now at Barcelona, and Mohamed Salah. I was sad when he left Liverpool, but I still talk to him frequently. To maintain strong friendships, you have to make an effort and actively stay in touch.

In the football world, if you had to share a secret, who would you tell?

In the football world? I'd have to say Mohamed Salah.

He wouldn't let it slip out, would he?

No, he wouldn't. I can trust him with my life. I'm confident he would keep it completely confidential.

Say your car breaks down on the road. Who would you call?

I'd call someone who picks up the phone. Kerkez definitely wouldn't be that person. He's not the most reliable when it comes to answering. I'd choose Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Why?

His phone is always on. Even if he can't come himself, he'll find someone to help me.

Who among your friends makes you laugh the most?

One of my closest friends. But my wife is also quite funny in her own way. It depends on my mood that day.

What about among your football friends?

That would be Kerkez.

He's like your little brother.

Like my little brother. Sometimes he's even like my son.

Fans are amazed at how elite players recognize each other's qualities. Many current and retired players have praised your abilities. Was there any praise that caught you off guard? Good compliments, of course – we don't need to mention the criticism.

Steven Gerrard. When someone asked him who the last player he faced was, he mentioned my name. That's a rare experience. Not many people receive that kind of recognition from a legend. He's a legendary Liverpool captain and possibly the greatest English player in history. Getting praised by him is a great honor.

Another thing that interests fans is that Bruno Fernandes' son particularly likes you.

That amazes me too. Children are young and don't understand the rivalries between clubs. In my view, football is just football. For children and young generations, it's different. They can like anyone. No one else can interfere. That's something beautiful.

So will you give him your signed jersey?

Yes, I'd be happy to give it to him. But even if I do, Bruno Fernandes probably won't let his son keep it.

Going back to your days off. Many players spend time getting their hair cut. Many fans are curious about your hairstyle. Do you like your current long hair? How often do you get it cut?

I quite like it. I get it trimmed about once every two months, just a little bit shorter. I don't have plans for a major change like Haaland's hairstyle. Maybe in the future, but not now.

Do you like Haaland's new hairstyle?

His hairstyle is his choice. He can do what he likes. I like long hair, and I like short hair too. What matters to me is what kind of person he is. Hair doesn't change who he is.

Finally, can you share any fun facts that people might not know about you?

There's really nothing special, to be honest.

My favorite dish is the one my wife's grandfather makes. It's only available when we visit their home.
