Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Atubolu was interviewed by Sky Sport Germany, where he discussed his feelings about playing against his former club Freiburg, his call-up to the German national team, and other topics.

On playing against his former club Freiburg:

I'm really excited today. I can barely wait for the match to start; I even wished it had kicked off last night. It's truly interesting to play against teammates I'm so familiar with and experience what it's like to truly stand on the opposing side. After all, I've been part of that team for so many years. They are indeed very tough and perform exceptionally well. Nevertheless, it's always a pleasure to play against them.

On the special significance of reuniting with Freiburg:

For me, just being able to play in the Bundesliga is an honor. Every single match is very, very special, especially playing in this stadium. Personally, playing against my hometown club, against the team I played for for eleven or twelve years, is one of the most special moments in my career so far.

On being called up to the German national team:

I spoke with goalkeeper coach Andreas Kronenberg on the phone. I am extremely happy to have been called up to the German national team. It's an honor and a rare privilege, and I am very, very grateful for it. I'm really looking forward to enjoying this time, observing a lot, and learning new things.
