After Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 1-0 away in the fifth round of the Premier League, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and Jaquemite were interviewed by Sky Sports.

Reporter: Virgil, Jeremy, congratulations. Virgil, winning football matches often relies on good teamwork and understanding. Your partnership in defence today was crucial. How reassuring was the young man's performance for you?

Van Dijk: Listen, I think he has shown a lot of good qualities so far this season. He is still very young, has a lot to learn, and has great potential to fulfil. So everyone needs to stay calm. He played a very good game today, and his performance this season has been very convincing. I hope he can continue like this.

Reporter: Virgil, we talked about partnerships—the partnership in defence and the partnership in attack. The strike partnership of Gakpo and Isak is now proving very effective. How good does it feel to have such attacking firepower at this moment?

Van Dijk: Obviously, it's crucial. It's very important for the whole team when our forwards can score goals. Alex (Isak) certainly deserves credit, but everyone is contributing to it. I think Flo also played a big role in this goal, so that's also very commendable. But it feels really great to win this tough away match and keep a clean sheet. Now everyone is going to their respective national teams, and then we will have to go all out to prepare for an extremely tight and busy schedule.

Van Dijk: Hopefully, to a very top level. But as I said at the beginning, we all need to stay calm, keep our feet on the ground, and continue to work hard. We must not become complacent. This was a crucial victory in a difficult away game, and the opponent clearly makes it very hard for you on the pitch. The pitch today was quite dry, so you had to play more directly and fight hard to win every physical challenge. Sometimes we could have done better on the pitch, but to leave with three points and a clean sheet, and now everyone is going back to their national teams, I hope everyone stays healthy during their international matches.
