Daniel Farke was left with "mixed emotions" after Leeds United continued their unbeaten Premier League start with a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Elland Road.

In a contest that lacked clinical finishing, Dominic Calvert-Lewin had the best moment for the hosts, seeing his close-range strike thwarted by Walter Benitez in the second half.

Leeds remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season across their opening five matches (W2 D3), achieving the feat for the first time in the competition since 2001-02.

They are also undefeated across their last seven top-flight home games (W4 D3), last enjoying a longer run at Elland Road in the competition between January and December 2001 (15 games).

"Mixed emotions. Preferred to win it but reality is that all 38 games cannot be magic nights. Sometimes you have to dig in," said Farke. 

"Many things I liked: unbeaten run and clean sheet. If we can't win, then we don't lose. We were a bit too loose.

"Credit to Palace, good structure. You have to be tidy on the ball. We rarely won first and second touch.

"This is the culture we have implemented in the club. We need to be consistent over weeks and months. It's difficult, but with this group it is relatively easy. It is a joy to work with them."

Leeds head into the international break sitting fifth in the Premier League table, and a visit to Premier League champions Arsenal awaits them on October 10.

Meanwhile, a point for Palace will be welcomed by Pierre Sage, although the Eagles currently sit 15th in the league table, having accrued four points from five games. 

It could have been more for Palace, but Tyrick Mitchell's second-half half-volley was disallowed for offside after a VAR review due to Anan Khalaili straying beyond the last defender down the right. 

More worryingly for the visitors, only Tottenham (18) have picked up fewer points than Palace (23) among Premier League sides in 2026, but Sage remains upbeat.

"It's a good point to make a clean sheet," Sage said. "But it would be a better point if we won this game because I think we created some chances too.

"That's why we have to analyse this clean sheet, not only in the way we defend, but in the way we attack.

"We created some chances without scoring, and I think altogether it's a good point."
