On September 23, Romano discussed Massimiliano Allegri's current situation at Napoli. He stated that while the team's league position has fallen short of expectations, the situation remains tense but Allegri's job is not under immediate threat.

La Repubblica reported that the atmosphere at Napoli's training ground has been strained recently, with Allegri reportedly clashing with several players on at least two occasions. At the start of the season, Allegri employed a relatively lenient management approach, but this strategy did not produce the expected results.

Following an away match against Fiorentina, Allegri reportedly shifted to a stricter stance, after which tensions in team training sessions became increasingly apparent.

Regarding this, Romano stated: "Allegri's current situation at Napoli is not entirely calm, as people expected the team to achieve a better league position. However, as of now, it's definitely not an 'imminent danger'."

Romano further emphasized that Allegri is not currently at risk of being sacked and is not backing down.

"As of now, Allegri is not in danger, and he is not backing down. Of course, there are some internal dynamics and relationships in the locker room that need to be sorted out, and finding the right balance will be Allegri's job to complete."
