Martin Odegaard: Bernardo Silva's foul was reckless and has no place on the pitch

In the second match of Nations League Group A, Norway lost to Portugal 1-2. During injury time, Martin Odegaard was fouled by Bernardo Silva. After the match, Martin Odegaard spoke to Norwegian broadcaster TV2.

Martin Odegaard said: "My ankle took a hit. It might not feel great tonight, but hopefully it will be better in the next few days. His action was completely reckless. I had already released the ball long before, but he still went in hard. I don't understand what he was doing."

After the foul, the two players exchanged words.

When asked what he told Bernardo Silva, Martin Odegaard replied: "I don't think those words should be repeated on television."

When a reporter asked whether this was related to Bernardo Silva's time at Manchester City and the rivalry between Manchester City and Arsenal, Martin Odegaard responded: "You'd have to ask him. I don't know what he was thinking. This kind of behavior shouldn't happen on the football pitch. It's unfortunate when someone does that, but that's football."

Martin Odegaard also revealed that Bernardo Silva did not apologize to him.
