According to Gazzetta, Inzaghi spoke about working with Zidane, saying that Zidane brought his footballing intelligence from his playing days to the dugout.

Inzaghi and Zidane played together at Juventus for four years. The two first played alongside each other in the Italian Supercup final on August 23, 1997, where Inzaghi scored twice and provided one assist, while Zidane played for over an hour. Their last game together in a Juventus shirt was on June 17, 2001, against Atalanta. During their time together, they made a combined 137 appearances, with Zidane providing assists for 13 of Inzaghi's goals through his vision and skill.

Speaking about their collaboration, Inzaghi said: "I was very lucky to play with a player like Zizou. For a striker, it's a great fortune to have such a teammate creating chances for you."

Inzaghi stated: "Zidane always knew how to put you in the most advantageous position on the field. Many times, he had already seen everything unfold with just one correct pass."

Regarding Zidane's qualities, Inzaghi said: "His technical ability was obvious, but what impressed me most was how he made the most difficult moves look natural. Therefore, I was never surprised that he later became a great coach."

On Zidane's transition from player to coach, Inzaghi said: "If you have footballing intelligence, personality, and the ability to understand the key moments of a game like Zidane does, then you have what it takes to bring these qualities and talents to a coaching role."

Inzaghi also spoke about Kaká: "Zidane was a great teammate, and so was Kaká. For a striker like me who lives for goals, they were both tremendously helpful."

Recalling games played alongside Zidane, Inzaghi said: "I think of the Champions League match in Kyiv in 1998. We drew 1-1 in the first leg and had to win the second. For the first goal, Zidane put me in front of goal with a pass only he could deliver; the second goal also came from his corner kick."

Inzaghi said: "I scored a hat-trick in Kyiv, and we won 4-1. That night perfectly illustrated what it meant to play with a player like Zidane."

Speaking about their time together at Juventus, Inzaghi said: "It felt really good to have a player like that behind you."
