According to TuttoMercato, Darmian made his initial statement as a new Bologna signing.

Darmian said, "I found a great team that made me feel like I was already part of it. I want to thank everyone, from the first to the last. I'm very happy. There's an excellent team here, and I feel surrounded by capable and valuable people.

I still have the desire to play, and this opportunity came along. I feel for Holm, and I sincerely wish him good luck. We're very close now; a positive result can bring back confidence and enthusiasm."
