According to Mundo Deportivo, Messi recently selected his top ten rising stars of the future. The list includes only one Argentine compatriot, with Mastantuono and Nico Paz not making the cut, but features some unexpected names.

During an Adidas promotional event, Messi signed "10 chapters that will rewrite the future of the game." This campaign spotlights a group of players from various nationalities who have distinguished themselves among the new generation and are poised to become future stars.
The players chosen by Messi are: Can Uzun (Eintracht Frankfurt) from Turkey, Gilberto Mora (Tijuana) from Mexico, Douman (Arsenal) from England, Zavier Gozo (Crystal Palace) from the USA, Jesús Rodríguez (Como) from Spain, and Smit (AZ Alkmaar) from the Netherlands.
The only Argentine included in the list is Tomás Aranda, a gem from Boca Juniors who has already made his national team debut.
Messi's list also features three female football players he believes have promising futures. They are Chloe Salvesen (Chelsea) from England, Giovanna Waksman (Lyon) from Brazil, and Lotta Fred (Hamburg) from Germany.
