Watford captain Troy Deeney performed a classy gesture as he gave his shirt to fans who had travelled 6,000 miles from Hong Kong.

After the Hornets were defeated 2-1 by league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday night, Deeney went over to the sidelines.

He gave his shirt to two supporters, Nana and KC, who had made the mammoth journey to see their side in action.

Although Deeney and Co couldn't deliver the result the fans craved, he made their day by handing over a piece of memorabilia  to treasure.

Deeney shook hands with KC and handed over the shirt to the two Watford-mad visitors at Vicarage Road.

Earlier in their trip, they had seen Javi Gracia's side play Leicester at the King Power Stadium, a game they lost 2-0 courtesy of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison's goals.

The pair were even recognised on Watford's official Instagram page as the club shared a picture of them holding up shirts.

A caption read: 'Hong Kong to the King Power! These two Watford fans travelled 6,013 miles for their first away game on Saturday.'

Despite the poor results, no doubt the journey was made worthwhile by the club's recognition and Deeney's token of gratitude.
