Aldo Serena told "MI-Tomorrow" that San Siro should learn from the Bernabéu model and undergo modernization while maintaining its original location and structure.

The former striker who played for Inter Milan and AC Milan spoke about his special connection with San Siro stadium: "The first time I took the bus to the stadium with Inter Milan, when its outline appeared from the Via Caprilli direction, I thought I would never know how to play there. In my Coppa dei Campioni debut, I was like a spectator in the stadium, completely overwhelmed by its beauty. My best memory is still my Serie A debut, in the match between Inter Milan and Lazio, when I scored a goal I never dared imagine even as a child."

Speaking about the Milan derby, Serena said: "What makes the Milan derby special is this magnificent stadium, the fans in the stands, and the black connecting the two colors: the red of passion and the blue of the sky. The stadium seems to have a life of its own, vibrating, bouncing, and roaring."

Recalling Inter Milan's match against Napoli in 1989 and the championship experience, Serena said: "At that time, I won the championship title as the top scorer, and I was very emotional celebrating around the stadium. Also, on June 21, 1985, Bruce Springsteen held his first concert in Italy. At the time, President Ernesto Pellegrini wanted to sell me to Juventus and invited me to dinner that evening. I asked him to arrange the meeting after the concert. I saw a different San Siro, which thrilled me. Forty years later, I attended his concert again with my children."

Speaking about his experience playing for AC Milan, Serena said: "After a World Cup, I scored twice for AC Milan in front of nearly 90,000 fans. The supporters sang chants for me, and at that moment I felt a bit uncomfortable because I knew I would return to Inter Milan the following month. But I still enjoyed that moment and stayed in the lower stands."

On San Siro's future, Serena said: "I'm a bit nostalgic, but the world must always move forward. I would choose the Bernabéu stadium's approach—modernize it while keeping its original location and main structure intact."
