Argentine media outlet Olé reported that Felipe Melo responded to Mbappe's previous comments about South American football being less advanced than European football at the OleSummit26 event, stating that Messi's phrase "Anda pa' allá bobo" (Go away, fool) was very fitting for him.

At the OleSummit26 event, the Brazilian was asked about Kylian Mbappe's remarks, when Mbappe had asserted that South American football was not as advanced as European football, and he responded firmly:

"Mbappe didn't think before he spoke back then. Messi's phrase 'Anda pa' allá bobo' is very fitting for him."

"He pretended to know something he didn't and ended up losing to Argentina in the final. And in this World Cup, Spain taught him a lesson."

"He doesn't know what he's talking about. If you ask him now, he'll say South American football is very strong. No doubt about it."
