Agent: Tonali Carefully Considered His Decision Before Leaving Milan, He Wanted to Play Premier League Football

According to Tuttomercatoweb, in Marco Nosotti's podcast "Masterpiece", agent Beppe Riso recalled some of the most important transfer negotiations of his career, while also discussing several deals from this summer.

Tonali's Transfer from AC Milan to Newcastle United?

The initial opportunity arose because we felt that AC Milan was no longer the same team. I know every aspect of AC Milan, and Tonali thought it through carefully; he knew he wanted to play football like that—Premier League football.

Tonali was interested in this option, even though he was AC Milan's captain, who had just won the Serie A title. It was very difficult for him, but he had a long-term vision, gradually finding his rhythm, and then establishing himself.

But This Wasn't an Ordinary Transaction...

In terms of public attention, transfer fee, and responsibility involved, it was a sensational deal. I explained the situation to Tonali, guided him to think it through, and I also took my responsibility seriously.

In hindsight, it proved to be the right personal choice; it was simply the end of a journey, so we decided to move on.

Before Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City Was Also Interested...

His choice of Tottenham Hotspur after Newcastle United shows that his decision-making process is unique; he's a decisive person. The offer from Tottenham Hotspur only came after the league ended, the team successfully avoided relegation, and De Zerbi found him and told him that the team needed him to be a leader. His relationship with De Zerbi played a major role.

Frattesi's Transfer to Lazio?

This transfer was caused by his lack of playing time at Inter Milan, so it was difficult for him to stay. He's a very promising young player, full of enthusiasm... He's a rare talent, and I could see that he was no longer happy, feeling sad and under pressure.

This year, Lazio reached out, and he chose to join Lazio because he needed to regain the feeling of being a key player.

Negotiations with Lotito?

The negotiation process wasn't straightforward, which is already known, but in my opinion, he's a smart man. The club was determined to sign him, and everyone worked together to complete the deal.

Ahanor Is Another Major Signing, Chelsea Recruited Him...

This transaction was difficult, drawn out, and faced many obstacles. He's another great young player with good character. He came from a humble background and struggled to make it big; when he signed with Chelsea, one of his friends and I cried while hugging him.

Pinamonti Joining Lazio?

We've only recently worked together, but I've always thought this player was underrated; he has very impressive statistics. Previously, he never had the chance to play for a higher-level team. I did my best to facilitate his transfer to Lazio, and I stayed there for 3 days. I'm confident he's in the right environment to seize opportunities and compete for a spot on the national team; he can't accept being overlooked for the national team.
