Renowned British broadcaster Piers Morgan took to social media to publicly criticize Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus's comments about Cristiano Ronaldo, comparing Jesus to former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and suggesting he was attempting to build a tough image by humiliating Ronaldo.

Earlier, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano had cited Jesus's remarks about Ronaldo. Jesus had stated: "In my opinion, you can't deny a year-long friendship with someone because of something incomprehensible. In response, Morgan declared: "This guy is the Portuguese Erik ten Hag. He wants to make a name for himself and project a tough image by disrespectfully humiliating Ronaldo. I'm going to talk about him tonight on 'Football Uncensored,' and I know plenty of behind-the-scenes details about this situation."
