According to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal spoke about the diverse cuisine his parents prepare, describing his home as the best restaurant in the world.

The Barcelona number 10 comes from a multicultural family. His father, Mounir, is Moroccan, and his mother, Sheila, is from Equatorial Guinea, so their family table features a blend of Moroccan, Equatorial Guinean, Catalan, and Spanish flavors.
Dishes at home include stews, couscous, chicken and rice, and peanut dishes. Yamal once spoke about chicken and rice: "It's a traditional food from Equatorial Guinea, my mother's country. When I was little, my mother would always make it for me before games to give me energy," he said in an interview with GQ.
While Yamal did not specifically mention a dish from his father's hometown, he once stated, "Moroccan food is also delicious." Mounir entered the catering industry at 16 and won a competition for the best Spanish potato omelet in his hometown between 2003 and 2007.
Yamal has always been proud of his parents' care, especially regarding nutrition. He said, "My mom and dad cook Moroccan, Equatorial Guinean, and Spanish food; my home is the best restaurant in the world."
Mounir also used to stream live on social media, showcasing dishes like chicken nuggets, pasta with meat sauce, and potato omelets. He sometimes says, "The best food in the world is Spanish food." Last year, Yamal also mentioned that he had started cooking lessons and that his mother "helped him a lot."
