After Borussia Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen at home, club executive Lars Ricken demanded a "strong response" from the team in their upcoming matches.

Ricken stated: "We must learn the right lessons from the 2-2 draw against Bremen. Such mistakes shouldn't happen, but they do occasionally. What's even more frustrating is that Bayern also didn't win!"
His words were clear. Borussia Dortmund cannot afford to drop points so frequently. Nevertheless, Ricken made it clear that there would be no public confrontation with the team or debate about the players' mentality. "We will certainly not condemn this team now. Both this season and last season, the team has earned our trust."
With Bodø/Glimt presenting the next difficult test on Wednesday, Ricken remains confident: "We have a great opportunity in Norway to make an excellent start to our Champions League campaign." In their first Champions League match, Borussia Dortmund defeated Villarreal 3-2 at home.
Ricken also recalled the painful 2-2 draw at home against Bodø/Glimt last season. In that match, Borussia Dortmund conceded an equalizer after leading 2-1, losing two crucial points in their bid for direct qualification to the round of 16. Ricken said: "We still have a score to settle with Bodø/Glimt. That 2-2 really hurt us!"
The stance of Borussia Dortmund's management is clear: after dropping points against Bremen, the team must deliver the right response. Against Bodø/Glimt, it's not just about important points—it's about revenge.
